DAVCO Instrumentation & Security Co Ltd have installed a fully automatic selfpowered alarm system in a Tautliner for Crokerton Haulage Ltd of Barking, Essex.
The side curtains are linked to the vehicle's alarm system without interfering with the loading or unloading of the vehicle. Any attempt to open the curtains by an unauthorised person will set off the alarm which flases the headlights and rear flashers as well as operating two electronic sounders.
The curtains can be linked into the alarm system in such a way that .even if entry is attempted by cutting through the curtains, the alarm will be set off.
