Improved Wolf Drills

TWO new models have been added to the range of electric drills produced by Wolf Electric Tools, Ltd., Pioneer Works, Hanger Lane, London, W.5. They are the OK2c and the KG2c, both having a drilling capacity in steel of

in, and in hardwood of + in.

Powered by a new high-output universal motor, d'eveloping greater penetration speed than earlier models in this class, the OK2c is recommended for all continuous light-production and general duty work. The spindle -speed running light is 2,800 r.p.m., and on full load 1,600 r.p.m., whilst the input on full load is 260W.

Similar in specification to the OK2c, the KG2c model incorporates several refinements. It is fitted with a heavyduty geared-type chuck to which is added a steel shroud for the operator's protection.

The principal feature is the insulation of phenolic resin permanently moulded to the inside of the switch handle. This eliminates the possibility of accidental contact between the live leads and the drill body. A further safeguard is the 'switch end easing made of high-strength insulating material completely shrouding the switch and electrical gear..

Prices of the new machines are £10 15s. for the OK2c and £13 15s. the KG2c.

METAL IN PASTE FORM

A NEW industrial metallic mouldable paste, known as Metolux, has been developed by M.G. Plastics, Ltd., 19 Mincing Lane, Blackburn, Lanes, and is

Available from Stedall and Co., Ltd., 164 High Holborn, London, W.C.I. Said to be ideal as a filler for motortrade jigs, domestic equipment, and as a filler for blow-holes in castings or for building up defects in all metallic parts, Metolux is virtually a metal, cast without heat, and sets irrespective of thicknessin 10 minutes at room temperature. It is claimed that the high standard of adhesion obtained ensures perfecl feathering and a crack-free surface, and that the new filler will not shrink or expand in itself. Nevertheless, it is sufficiently flexible to move with the metal to which it is bonded.

It is also stated that Metolux is resistant to petrol, vibration, oil, greases. rust and most chemicals.

THIEF-PROOF BAG

AN ingenious and effective method of preventing bag snatching in the street has been devised• in the form of an alarm bag, available from Adler Products, 3 Cork Street, Bond Street, London, W.I.

ATTACIEVIENTS FOR MERTON OVERLOADERS

An 8-ft. wide angledozer blade which can be set to an angle of 24° on each side has reinforced corner pieces and renewable, reversible manganese cutting edges. It is said So be particularly suitable for mediumclass angle work and winter snow-clearing. Consisting of a swivel hook mounted on a beam for quick attachment direct to the bucket lip by bolts only, a 20-cwt. crane attachment should be found useful on any machine used in a factory or on civil engineering sites.

A timber or rock fork can replace the normal bucket, and consists of a 6-ft. wide L-shaped toothed-fork attachment made up of seven T-shaped prongs which are pushed under logs or rocks to be loaded. As there is approximately 9 in. between the teeth, a sieving action is obtained during rock forking, leaving any smaller stones or dirt to be dealt with in the usual way.
