FROZEN FOOD storage and distribution company ACS&T is still struggling to return a profit, according to latest figures.

Although annual turnover rose by nearly £1.7m to f32m last year, the company made an operating loss of £234,720.

This wasan improvement on the £486,400 loss recorded in 2003 —hut a financial report by the directors says 2004 was another difficult trading year and the figures were worse than expected.

"Measures have been put in place with a view to returning the company to profitability within the next I 8 months." the report adds.

Three directors and the chairman resigned between June 2004 and June 2005.

Managing director Ashley Sharman declined to comment about the results.
