Frejus increases

• The French and Italian Governments have announced the new toll rates to be applied from 1 January 1995 in the Tunnel Alpin du Frejus. Tolls have risen by 25% for light vehicles and 1.7% for LGVs and coaches.

Vehicles with two axles and a wheelbase over 3.3m will pay FF437 (152) oneway and FF7I2 (185) return. Vehicles with three axles, FF666 (180) one-way and FF1,062 (1128) return. Vehicles with four axles or more, FF880 (1106) oneway and FF1,414 (1170) return.

Brittany prices

• Brittany Ferries' Truckline has announced the following increases will apply from 1 January: Poole-Cherbourg 114; Portsmouth-St Malo 119; Portsmouth-Caen £19; Plymouth-Roscoff 119.

Rates on Spanish and Irish services will be increased by 130 regardless of the scheduled departure time.

There will be no increase in charges from either the UK of France between 06:00hrs and1800hrs.
