• The next Nottingham Transport Conference is to be held on 23 and 24 March. Quality Transport for the new Planning Environment will discuss the Government's latest planning guidance document PPG13 and the findings of the Royal Commission on Environmental Pollution. The keynote speaker is Veronica Palmer, director general of the Confederation of Passenger Transport.

• Truckfest's organiser has announced its Scottish festival will be an annual event. This year it will be held at the Royal Highland Showground in Ingliston near Edinburgh on Sand 6 August.

Wheels to try
• This year's International Wheels show at the Manby Showgrounci in Lincolnshire will be held on the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, 28 and 29 May. Motorsport enthusiasts from all over the country are expected to attend to try out a variety of experiences from karting to off-roading.

Easter Motorvation
II Ilona Richards of the Lady Truckers Club is promoting "Motorvation" taking place over the Easter weekend (15 and 16 April) at Poplar Services, Lymm, Cheshire at J20 on the M6. There will be ride-and-drive for LGV licence holders in new lorries as well as vintage wagons; trade stands: competitions and other events.
