• During 1 994 Daf sold 21,154 trucks and delivered 18,670 to make a net profit of more than NLG 120m (£44M) on a turnover which topped NLG 2.2 billion (£810m). From September the company expects to produce 70 trucks per day in a single shift.

• Disc-Lock has won German TUV approval for its locking safety wheel nut TUV approval will ease entry for the Disc-Lock wheel nut to the European market. The device is already approved by all axle manufacturers. IMS of Leicester will handle UK distribution.
