Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Securicor's parcels business last week posted a healthy batch of financial results along with profits up nearly 75%. Parcels, which returned pre-tax profits of £9.9m For the year ending 30 September, benefited from "substantially" increased volumes on the previous year when the pre-tax profit was £5.7m. Turnover increased by 29.6% to £241.1m over the period. Securicor's group chief executive Roger Wiggs says that in the UK customers are opting for overnight services rather than two and three-day deliveries.

Ii The results contrast strongly with the Post Office's Parcelforce which lost £28m for the half-year to 25 September 1994— E11 m more than the same period the previous year.
