LEYLAND has done well i the early stages of the Paris Dakar Rallye Oasis.
As we closed for press o Tuesday, its 6 x 4 Marathon was lying in seventh place fo commercial vehicles, despite . setback with its French-buil bodywork. It had been in th lead for the first 12 sections.
An Algerian-buil Sanscombe, incorporatinl Berliet and Deutz parts, wa the first commercial in th rally.
