Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THIS YEAR, on March 13, CM celebrates its 75th anniversary. We plan to mark this occasion with a number of special events which will be announced in certain issues of the journal during the year.

To set the tone and pace for this auspicious year, we an nounce today a broup of study awards valued at £6000 and co-sponsored by six other companies. The awards are being made to assist people in the transport industry to advance their studies and research in their own subject. They are generally open to a very wide field of prospective entrants in the United Kingdom, Europe, Rhiadesia, South Africa, North and South America, Canada. Australia and New Zealand, The award scheme requires entrants to submit 10.000 to 12,000 words (in English) on one of the subjects specified below The entrant may be invited to a personal interview to answers any questions which may arise from his work and to demonstrate the depth of his investigation.

Entries will be examined by a panel of judges who will mark them independently In the event of two or more entries being awarded the same n the chairman of the panel, Tindall, director-general of Road Transport Indu, Training Board will arbitr The chairman may ask to ir view the authors.

The awards will be paic cover specific expenses, certain classes carry aciditi( awards, These include chance to visit, for up to week, the research and de lonment sections planning partments and training or isations as the guest of the sponsors.
