Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Well, a full week has now passed with the new format for the forums. There are still a few graphic bugs and the search function isn't performing to its best (these are on the "to do" list). One of the most popular new features is the ability to read the first few lines of a thread without opening a new page.

The forum users can quickly see if the topic is of interest to them and either open the thread to read more or move on to look for a topic that does catch their eye.

Despite the fact that this means the forums are gaining fewer page views than before the upgrade, it also means forum users have more time to delve deeper into the site and are looking into more areas.

One of the beneficiaries of this extra travel is the Owner and Fleet Operators forum. This has shown a rise in topics and replies over the past week. Questions regarding accounting software and 0-licence issues are among the threads posted. One new member, obviously having read some of the posts from hopeful/ wannabe owner-drivers, has written a piece on costings that anyone considering going down the owner-driver route would do well to read before considering what truck to buy.

By the time this appears in print, the old front page we have used for six years will be gone, to be replaced by a page built in close partnership with Roadtransport.com This allows us to use the Roadtransport.com database to directly pull news stories and job opportunities to the drivers landing page. Of course, this is only the start of the driver-relevant content we will be showcasing. That said, the older content has been retained, and much of that will be incorporated into the new area over the next few months. Also, keep your eyes peeled for some new innovative features that will be added.

For over nine years now, TruckNet UK has been the leading site for drivers. We are now setting up ready for the next nine.

• Finally, next Saturday sees our annual Christmas party and fun charity auction (supported by Renault, Scania and Volvo) held at the Longford House Pub in Cannock, Staffordshire. All are welcome from fipm onwards. See the forums for further details.
