• Fruehauf has developed a pneumatic discharge tipping trailer; the first 42.8m3 version has joined animal feed haulier Phil Hanley of Westbury, Wiltshire's 13-strong artic fleet.

Based on the proven bathtubshaped body design and airsprung chassis, it uses Priden Engineering bulk blowing equipment to offload animal feed, grain or other small-particle products. With tri-BPW axles, Edbro DS18-5 tipgear and PM on-board weigher Fruehauf's new bulk blower weighs in at just 7,800kg.

The air supply for load discharging comes from a Rootstype blower linked to an aircooled Same 1004A diesel engine. Feed outlets are fitted on both sides to reduce the need to manoeuvre in congested farmyards.
