BERKHAMSTEAD and Kings Langley urgently need by-passes to reduce traffic levels, the British Road Federation has told the planning inquiry into the relief road plans.
The BRF believes that without by-passes, conditions in the historic centres of the two Hertfordshire communities will become increasingly worse.
Supporting the bepartment of Transport's preferred routes for the A41 by-passes, the BRF evidence has called for a speedy start to the construction of the roads.
