• The CM-sponsored seminar "Managing and controlling drivers" scheduled for March 9 and 10 in London has had to be moved to April 7 ,and 8 because of the effects of the postal strike. The venue remains in the Connaught Rooms, and the programme has not been altered.

Hgv failures—still 1 in 3
• Since the start of the hgv driving licence scheme, 29,337 hgv tests have been taken, of which 34 per cent have resulted in failure—continuing the failure rate of about one in three which was evident at the start of testing in August 1969.
