Yew Brockhouse Trailer

ROCKHOUSE AND CO. LTD. is now producing a 10/15-cwt, trailer, model KS 1457, for use with the Landtover-----either on the road or over rough country. It has the ame dimensions and body capacity as its predecessor, which as designed primarily for road use. Changes include the se now of progressive suspension, combining semi-elliptic prings with hollow rubber springs. The new trailer is also tted with telescopic hydraulic dampers and rebound check traps.

The all-steel body of the KS 1457 is reinforced by steel ngle pillars and is fitted to a •strong, hot-rolled angle frame; solid straight-through axle is used, which carries Brockhouse rop forged hubs on taper roller bearings. Pressed steel disc heels with 6.00-16 tyres are used—these are interchangeable 4th those fitted to the Land-Rover. The Brockhouse cornined over-run and parking system is employed with fully ompensated rod connection to braka, assemblies via a centreull mechanism.

Payload specified is 15 cwt. for road use and 10 cwt. for Dugh tracks and cross country. The trailer has been exhausvely tested by Brockhouse and Rover engineers on the testing ground at Lindley. '
