Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Brian Weatherley • Seddon Atkinson aims to extend the appeal of its tractor range early next year with the addition of 6x2 mid-lift and tag-axle models built on-line at its Oldham assembly plant. The Iveco Group member will fit Hendrickson axles with air suspension on its existing two-axle Strato and Strato Cruiser artics. Mid-lift axles can be either fixed or steered; tag version can be equipped with single or twin wheels.

Tag-axle tractors will be based on the existing 3.4mwheelbase Strato/Strato Cruiser chassis, modified to 3.1m and with an extended rear overhang. Midlift models are based on a 3.8m wheelbase tractor. They should become available during the first quarter of 1997.

A number of tag-axle models have already been built for operator trials. Sales and marketing general manager Les White says that SA will keep a close eye on the operator vehicles: "Our engineers will live in their pockets."

White adds that Seddon plans to launch two nichemarket models across Europe next year, both badged as Iveco. "We're looking at sectors within mainstream haulage that have not been attacked before," he explains.

.7 Seddon has extended its range of LA municipal rigid chassis to include a 14-tonne chassis, powered by a choice of a 180 or 2I5hp Cummins B-Series engine. LA models have a heavy-duty washable interior trim designed for arduous service.
