Animals sold at markets ar offered to hauliers for transpor and the net result is that vehicle are being used to only 50 pe cent of their potential or less, a a time when costs are soaring.
The net result could be a situa tion where livestock haulage be comes totally uneconomic, witl a warning that some specialiF, hauliers might be forced out c that side of their trade.
