IN a new three-wheeled battery' electric vehicle being made by Wales and Edwards Ltd., Shrewsbury, a deep channel-steel frame is employed braced by substantial cross-members. Midway in its length the frame is down. swept to give a low platform height.
The traction motor is mounted over the rear axle, the drive from the motor being by chain to a .Silentbloc cushdrive unit through which the drive is •
taken to the rear axle. Hydraulic, braking is included in the specification.
