Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

My wife and I are truck enthusiasts and Truckfest has always been an automatic choice for us. But this year's event at Peterborough was a disappointment. The entrants seemed crammed into one area, and where were the recovery vehicles, emergency trucks and custom trucks? Presumably they were on the far side of the stall area, which we try to avoid because of the crowds.

Surely Truckfest is about trucks, not a glorified outdoor market. The trucks should have prominence and the stalls etc should be situated to one side of the showground. If we had wanted to buy tat, we would have saved our petrol and the £9 entrance fee and gone to a boot sale nearer home!

Also it does seem that a new housing estate is encroaching on the showground, putting available space at a premium. Is it time to consider moving venue? How about The Agricultural Showground at Stoneleigh, which would be easier for everybody to reach?

We didn't bother with Truckfest South West as if it was similar to Peterborough, it would have been disappointing.

Judging by the comments overheard, in Peterborough, we weren't alone in thinking Truckfest has declined in standards!

We raised these points with Live Promotions and are still awaiting a reply. Perhaps CM could have some influence and try to raise the Truckfest standards to how they used to be! K Brown,

Yate, South Gloucestershire.
