ijhe Russian public will soon be dismayed to learn that the Didsbury davits are coming their way. Surely they will say, the Cold War is over—what have we done to deserve this outbreak of hostility?
They need not fear The Diddy men from Didsbury are supplying folding davits for 25 Foden trucks which form part of a UK aid package to the Russian Government.
The davits, with hand chain hoists, provide an onboard lifting capacity of up to 254kg and are used to handle spare wheels stowed behind the cab.
