SHARIAH FOODS HAS been granted permission for two vehicles at its Highfield House facility in Parkinson Lane, Halifax, subject to the following conditions: ● manoeuvres of the authorised vehicles when exiting the operating centre must be assisted by a banksman to warn any oncoming pedestrians that a vehicle is leaving the operating centre; ● no vehicle maintenance shall take place on authorised vehicles at the operating centre; ● the authorised operating centre shall be used solely for the parking of vehicles when not in use; ● the authorised vehicles shall not exceed a 7.5-tonne GVW; ● there will be no movement of authorised vehicles at the operating centre before 8am and after 10pm Monday to Friday, or before 8am and after 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

BIBBY DISTRIBUTION HOPES to get authority for one vehicle and two trailers at the John MacKirdy facility in Rothesay, Isle of Bute. The Liverpool-based firm operates from 100 locations across the UK and employs 2,000 people. Its core fleet travels 45 million miles every year.

AIRE VALLEY HAULAGE has been granted authorisation for one vehicle at its site in Somerset Road, Pudsey, with the following conditions attached: ● the authorised vehicle will not exceed 5,500kg in weight and documentary evidence of this will need to be produced when the vehicle is specified; ● there shall be no vehicle movements before 7am or after 9.30pm Monday to Friday; ● no vehicle movements before 8am and after 5.30pm on Saturday; ● no vehicle movements on a Sunday, except for one movement in and out of the premises; ● no maintenance of the authorised vehicle will take place at the operating centre except for minor matters, such as the changing of light bulbs.

MCPHERSON (ABERLOUR) has removed from its licence its yard in Grampian Road, Elgin. The haulier has been granted the go-ahead to base 10 vehicles and 20 trailers at the Elgin Truck and Van Centre in Linkwood Place, Elgin. The company has also been given the green light for six vehicles and 20 trailers at the Johnstons of Elgin site in Moycroft Road, also in Elgin.
