Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A DEALER IS warning that the lack of test dates at Vosa stations could kill off their businesses.

CM has received a number of calls from readers claiming that their local test stations cannot accommodate them in a reasonable time.

Dave Watts, director of Renault dealership Staffordshire CV, has recently sold five trucks, all awaiting annual test. But having tried to book MoTs at 11 test stations and some designated premises, the earliest test day he was offered was 5 May.

"1 have large amounts of money invested in these trucks and customers waiting for them," he says. "This is a nightmare and could put a smaller company out of business.

"We offer trucks to a high standard and with 12 months' MoT. If the lack of tests drives down quality at dealerships, it defeats the objectives of good franchised dealers and the objectives of road safety."

A Vosa spokeswoman has promised to look into the matter, but says she is not aware of any special circumstances which might be causing problems.
