• MI's on all sides have called for agricultural tractor drivers to be made to pass a proficiency test before being allowed on public roads.
A Commons motion signed by Liberal, Labour and Conservative MPs draws attention to the worries that young, inexperienced drivers can take tractors with heavy loads on to the roads immediately they have passed their ordinary driving test.
