Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

In 1983, Bang & Olufsen UK signed the contract that would commit BRS Western, Gloucester branch, to the operation and maintenance of the six Mercedes1625 artics that were to comprise Bang & Olufsen's national distribution fleet.

Russ Cook, B&O's operations manager, sums up the current situation in one word. "Delighted': he says.

"Delighted with Mercedes and delighted with BRS for providing us with an absolutely first, class service.

"Our brief to BRS was reliability and quality and that is exactly what they and the vehicles have delivered. I can't remember a day when any of our Mercedes' let us down.

"Actually, there was one day," says Mike Burton, BRS Branch Manager, "but in a fleet that has so far covered about 660,000 miles, I find that more than acceptable.

"But reliability and extremely competitive running costs are something I've come to expect from Mercedes.

"We now have 47 Mercedes' operated by BRS in Gloucester and that is two-thirds of my fleet — so you can see what I think of them.

"I'm in the business of providing contract hire as a solution to a customer's transport problems.

"We provide a service tailored to suit their needs— they seek reliability first and foremost, but very low running costs and excellent fuel consumption are obviously important too!

"For Bang & Olufsen, Mercedes supplies the right solution.

"Not only that, but I expect the B &O 1625s to continue to perform well throughout the life of the contract, providing trouble-free distribution for them and us! .

For Bang & Olufsen it's Mercedes. The long, long player.
