• Irish trailer maker Dennison is hoping to win a bigger share of the UK hulk powder market with tankers built by Spanish firm Hermann. Dennison's bulker line-up includes a 27m3 single-point, bottom discharge bulk cement tanker, and a 62m3 tipping tanker. The all-aluminium V-tanker can have a three-cylinder Deutz/Betico pump compressor pack.

With the blower fitted, Irish-spec models have a kerbweight of 5,850kg with ROR's FL1100 running gear, TM axles and Sin brakes. Managing director George Dennison says UK models can be as light as similar products from Feldbinder or MetalairFilliat. "We can save up to 300kg on axles and running gear and take the blower off. We've one running now with lighter TE axles and no blower at 4,700kg. And we can compete on price too."

The big body triaxle tipping tanker has an aluminium chassis and tank and is intended for granules and bulk flour transport. Tare weight is around 6,500kg.

Six Hermann bulk tankers, badged as Dennison trailers, are operating in UK hire fleets and subcontractor hauliers, supported by Dennison's Lancaster site.

Li Future Dennison products include a version of its

sliding triaxle skeletal with a tare weight of less than 5.0 tonnes, and a lighter allsteel ISO tank container stepframe at under 3.5 tonnes. It has also unveiled a skeletal to pick up two lifton/off 18ft boxes from a steelsprung truck and a goose-neck sliding skeletal to carry a 13.6m box.
