11 INDUSTRIAL TRIBUNAL has ruled that an Aberdeen lorry driver as unfairly dismissed from his job with a city fish merchant. It yarded Norman Reid compensation of £264.

The tribunal heard that during i argument over deliveries, Mr tid was told by his employer, J. G. Richards of Raik Road, )erdeen: "You might as well up the road."

Mr Reid locked his cab and fused to hand-over the keys til he had been handed a letter nfirming his dismissal.

The firm had claimed that the rte was handed over simply to I the vehicle moved. It stated at the employee had walked it of his job in anger.

In its ruling, the tribunal said at what Mr Reid was told dur ing the argument constituted a dismissal. Mr Reid's conduct before his dismissal did not justify his sacking.
