A LIGHT commercial tyre developed to withstand on and off the road winter conditions has been introduced by Sernperit (UKI, St Paul's Avenue, Slough, Berkshire.
It is designated the 205R-16 M529 Hi-Grip reinforced 6pr TBL "C". The tread is designed to provide superior grip.
This tyre has already been adopted by Mercedes as original equipment for its range and by Toyota for the Land Cruiser fourwheel-drive model. It is suitable for use on similar types of vehicle of other makes.
The carcass has two-ply highgrade rayon cord running radially from bead to bead and the tread has been moulded ready to accommodate studs. Each tyre has a speed rating of 160km/h (100mph) and a maximum carrying capacity of 900kg. (1,9841b).
