PERKINS is to double its Powerpart distributor network, which handles 900 of the company's fast-selling parts.
The Powerpart scheme, said to meet 90 per cent of day to day requirements, has been a major revenue earner since its introduction in 1979.
Each new stockist to be appointed will be trained, given advice on stock control and a premises identification pack. Within 18 months Perkins expects to have 4,000 stockists giving a comprehensive worldwide service.
