MOT one of seven objectors appeared before the West Midland Licensing Authority at. Hartley, Stoke-on-Trent, last week, when an application by Joseph Kimberley and Sons Ltd., haulage con tractors, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffs, to vary a B licence was granted.

Mr. Kenneth Kimberley, a director, said his firm wished to use the additional vehicles.to transport opencast coal from the Harplow opencast coal site to coal disposal screens on behalf of Caro! Lewis and Martin Ltd., of Birmingham, within

Representing Carol Lewis and Martin, Mr. John Cook said it was a new venture for getting opencast 'coal and the work was expected to last about two years. By utilizing six vehicles they expected to move about 3,000 tons a week.
