INDEPENDENT TYRE dealer network Tyrenet UK and European tyre service supplier Profile Tyrecenter are joining forces to launch a service for truck and van leasing and rental firms in the UK.
The service will provide IT support and fleet customer expertise in the UK and offer European coverage, said Tyrenet UK MD Mike Riley. “Profile Tyrecenter UK, which goes live 1 January 2013, has evolved from building close working relationships with other independent tyre solution partners belonging to the Tyre European Network.
“The deal also offers European coverage for operators who work overseas. The ability to add a 250strong dealer network in European service is unique. We feel the marketplace is in the ideal position to take our offering.” Tyrenet UK has more than 600 depots available for truck operators, and Riley expects most of them to sign up to work for the joint venture. “The venture means Profile Tyrecenter UK can buy and negotiate as a bigger group,” he said.
