• The latest provisional figures from the Department of Trade and Industry show that production of commercial vehicles in the UK rose to 20,200 units in September, the highest monthly total since June, but 4,300 down on September 1985.
Production over the last six months (April to September, 1986) is up 8% on the previous six months (October 1985 to March 1986), but down 18% on commercial vehicle production during the six-month period April to September 1985.
