Department of Transport and the insurers General Accident in support of European Road Safety Year, Wyvery TV has produced two interactive videodisc programmes as part of a £2 million road safety campaign.
One hundred road safety officers will take charge of a system comprising a computer laserdisc player and TV display, locating them in schools, motorway service areas and other places where the travelling public, particularly youngsters, tend to gravitate.
According to Wyvery, the programme is aimed at highlighting ways to improve road safety awareness.
Six discs have been produced this year and two more are in production.
