Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A TNT truck driver had a lucky escape when he foiled an attempted hijack at gunpoint in Cheshire.

The incident happened at around 9pm last Tuesday (9 November) in Ellesmere Port. The driver was travelling along West Road near 16 of the M53 when he was stopped by a Ford Ka and a Ford Transit van, which drove across his path.

A number of men got out of the vehicle and began attacking the cab with baseball bats and threatening the driver with what is believed to be a shotgun. But the driver ignored the threats and managed to drive through the roadblock to escape his assailants.

A TNT spokesman says: "The driver was unhurt, nothing was stolen from his vehicle and the lorry sustained only minor damage. Cheshire police continue to investigate the incident."
