• Safety-Kleen is to expand its waste collection scheme to include oil filter disposal after successful area trials. The scheme started with paint products and has already been expanded to include anti-freeze and brake fluid.
fl Biffa Backtrack is another EPA-compliant waste oil, sol vents, asbestos, antifreeze, paint and other hazardous products disposal system.
The waste is sealed in plastic bags and placed in a large cardboard box. When the box is full it. is sealed inside another plastic bag ready for collection.
Having collected enough boxes to make a load the workshop/paintshop phones Biffa to arrange a collection (by a licenced operator) within three days. Simplified paperwork and labelling ensures that the EPA is complied with and Biffa holds all movements and documentation on computer.
