Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Ds the major sponsor of Truckfest, CMsent a large i contingent to the East of England Showground, including some of our backroom boys who rarely emerge from the magazine's Sutton hideaway to confront road haulage in the raw. Thus it was that a well-meaning butt °dully ignorant desk jockey found himself chatting to the Fernwood Transport ROAD contingent, as they were taking their ease behind a 1 beautifully prepared line-up of tractors (pictured in last week's Truckfest report).

"What models are they?" he asked, innocently. Following one or two pointed remarks about the level of knowledge to be expected from even the non-technical staff on the industry's senior organ, one of the drivers told him they were EC14s. "Ahh," blustered the hapless hack. "You see I'm not paid to be a truck expert—I'm paid to make sure we get the spelling right." The driver pondered this for a moment and in a loud, clear voice, helped out with the spelling: "E...R...E.." My lackey is currently ensconced with the Observers Book of Trucks. And, as proof that fact is better than fiction, in our report we pictured what we thought was the 1,000th FHI2, signwritten with the buyers' names, and wondered what Volvo would do when sales hit 10,000. In fact the FH12.420 6x2 already carries 10,000 names—the Volvo buyers and staff of Crossroads Commercials Group which runs it as a demo truck and has been selling Volvos since 1967. General sales manager Ian Gibson is confident that he will find room for the next 10,000.

Here are a few more pictorial highlights, captured for posterity by CM's indefatigable snapper Peter Cramer...
