A LOADING device of the up-and-ov r-1 type is shown in patent No. 887,6i It enables a tipping lorry to load itst with granularmaterial such as sand gravel. (W. Venziana, Magliaso, Switzt land.)
The invention comprises the provisi of a pair of rails (1) projecting over t front of the vehicle. Upon these ra runs a scoop or shovel (2), hauled cables wound upon a power-clriv winch (3).
The scoop can be driven into a he lying on the ground by forward mon( and then hauled up to the position whence it discharges into the body.
