THE European Conference of Ministe of Transport have published the eighth annual report, reviewing Westei Europe's transport situation, listir collected statistics for 1956-61 and dea ing in more detail with last year activities.

In E.C.M.T. countries as a. whole, ra goods traffic increased by only 1 per cen (6 per cent. in 1960) and passenger traff remained static. Road transport i general maintained its expansion rate: th increase in volume varied between 6 pt cent. and 15 per cent.
