JONES, who has returned to the Ministry of Transport's headquarters. Before his new appointment, Mr. Williams was chief assistant to the Transport Commissioner for the NorthEastern Region, Major F. S. Eastwood, under the Ministry's war-time scheme of organization. Up to the outbreak of war, he was clerk to the Yorkshire Licensing Authority. He has been with the Ministry of Transport since its inception in 1919.
