CEVA IDGISTICS SAYS it is "in discussions" with Edwards Logisties about taking over its UK operation.
Edwards is the in-house transport arm of bathroom specialist Ideal Standard, hut also offers logistics services to third parties.
In a statement to CM, Ceva says: "Ceva can confirm that it is in discussions with Edwards Logistics to determine whether there would he mutual benefits in Ceva taking over Edwards Logistics' UK road transport activities in the future. "Discussions around this will take place with employee representatives from l April."
Ceva stressed it was not a takeover.
An spokeswoman for Edwards reveals: "There could he an announcement by the end of April."
In the year 10 31 December 2008. the company recorded a pre-tax profit of £550,539 on turnover of £20m.
