The Off ice of National Statistics reports that in the past three months mining and quarrying output fell by 1.9% compared with the previous month and by 9.2% year on year. However mining and quarrying output rose 1.3% from December and January welcome news for tippermen. Manufacturing output in the last quarter was flat compared with the previous quarter.
