The SMMT says sales of light vans (up to 1.8 tonnes GVW) were up 6,9% in February, continuing an upward trend despite a fall in January. Medium and heavy van sales (up to 3.5-tonnes GVW) were up 8.2% year-on-year by contras14x4 utility vehicle sales fell. Truck registrations continued January's upward trend with a year-on-year increase of 4,3% to 55,682. Growth was focused on the heavier end of the market, buoyed up by sales of rigids.
