THE Association of Metropolitan Authorities has announced the formation of a working party to consider the future relationship between the metropolitan passenger transport authorities and British Leyland.
The metropolitan counties and GLC are being invited to nominate members of the working party on which the director-generals of the PTEs will be asked to serve as advisers.
This move may have been prompted by last week's disclosures by GLC transport committee chairman Jim Daly that a new company could be set up by Leyland and the VIetropolitan counties to produce the B15 bus.
