drivers to falsify their tachograph records to allow them to work over their permitted hours, Ipswich Crown Court heard last week.
Gary Benham, who ran Scorpion Freight in Mendlesham, denied 12 charges of getting eight drivers to make false entries on their charts between June and September 1995.
Martin Evans, prosecuting, said two trucks used by Banham's drivers had been fitted with a switch to interrupt the power supply to their tachographs.
The trial continues.
