• For failing to carry an efficient fire extinguisher on a public service vehicle the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Company was on Tuesday fined £20 at Stafford county magistrates' court. Prosecuting, Mr Michael Durrell said the extinguisher was empty and the bus, a glass-fibre bodied double-decker was badly burned in four minutes.
