Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

-U'lltST of the 50 experimental Leyland Atlantean double-deckers for London Transport are now completed, and delivery of 33 of the bases is scheduled by midsummer. The Atlanteans are expected to enter service in the autumn, and will be compared with RMs and RMLs.

Atlanteans and RMLs will operate on a one-for-one basis in place of RMs on routes 7 (London Bridge Station-Acton) and 24 (Hampstead Heath-Pimlico). Both types will also take over—at a reduced frequency— from RMs on routes 67 (Northumberland Park-London Docks) and 271 (Highgate Village-Moorgate).

Observations will he taken of the operation of RMs on all four routes. Then the RMLs and Atlanteans will each operate on one route out of each pair selected, the Atlanteans running on routes 24 and 67 initially, and the RMLs on routes 7 and 271. After a suitable period of operation, the looses will be exchanged.

The larger buses will be based at Middle Row, Chalk Farm, Stamford Hill and Highgate garages.
