• The receiver of Wigan-based bus builder Northern Counties has had two offers for the firm, but must wait for a creditors' meeting to get the go-ahead to consider them.
The meeting will be at receiver Grant Thornton's Albert Square, Manchester offices on 30 July. Grant Thornton's Gordon Craig is "reasonably hopeful" that he can sell Northern Counties as a going concern.
The firm's most recent delivery was a 48-seater Renault PR100 to Hornsby Travel Services of Scunthorpe.
