The vehicle is based on a .iyland Super Buffalo coupled a York drawbar trailer. The amplete unit works at night trrying 18 pallets (270 gas linders) between BOC's main stribution depot at Glasgow and branch at Dundee.

During the day the Buffalo is used without the trailer delivering 150 cylinders and 10 pallets to customers from the Dundee depot.

The complete unit operates at 32 tons gross and with an unladen weight for the outfit of 11.68 tonnes (11.5 tons) a payload of 20.83 tonnes (20.5 tons) is possible. Overall length of the outfit is 15.85m (521 t).
