CUTS IN SERVICES

THE Aldershot and District Traction Co., Ltd., has cut unremunerative services to offset rising costs, rather than raise fares. Last year, the company lost money on 44 per cent. of its routes.

The general manager, Mr. P. N. Gray, stated that some members of the public would be called upon to make small sacrifices rather than that the concern should ask the whole of its customers to pay more to keep little-used services going..
