Reed Business Information, has taken over the assets of TruckNet UK, the UK's leading road transport website for drivers.
Roger Williams, publishing director of RBI's Road Transport Group (the publishing division responsible for Commercial Motor and its sister titles Motor Transport and Truck & Driver), says: "There are clear synergies between TruckNet UK and our new RoadTransport.com website project which will be launched in the next few weeks.
"I'd like to reassure theli-uckNet UK community that we aren't planning any major changes to the site,a1 though we will be interested to hear from members who have suggestions for new services we could offer," Williams adds. Rikki Chequer, founder of the TruckNet UK community, will remain on board as the site's community manager, looking after the forums. TruckNet UK was started four years ago as an online space for drivers to swap views and professional advice.
