REGIONAL manager for BRS Southern, Gordon Segger, has moved on to the board of the National Freight Consortium company as area director for South of the Thames. At the same time. the company has appointed Peter McDonald to the new position of head of business development.
Segger, who joined BRS Southern in 1970 as a management trainee, became manager of the company's Canterbury branch in 1974. Before being made area manager in 1980 he was general manager of the Bedfont distribution operation dedicated to Mars confectionery.
Later, as regional manager, he was responsible for operaFinns throughout BRS
Southern branches sout the Thames. All of the pany's London branches also come under his cot As area director he will ccntrate on policy sht and long-term develop: products.
