Durham bus routes have been granted by the Northern Traffic Commissioners. Described as " modest " by the chairman of the Traffic Commissioners, Mr. J. A. T. Hanlon, the increases mainly affect fares over 5d. Most fares between 5d. and 3s. will rise by Id.; fares over 3s. will be increased by Id. to 2d.
